Sr Java Server-side Software Engineer Design, implement and evolve a number of application servers on Linux. Work in a team to continue to extend the capabilities of our backend to support an ever-growing user community. Participate in the evolution of the design of the Oracle data model and supporting Java servers. Implement server support for new features for new clients while maintaining backward compatibility for older clients (which is the hard part of the job). Design and implement client-server protocol extensions.

Qualifications:
-Must be able to quickly learn new technologies and evaluate their architectural applicability
-Java - 3 or more years experience
-8 or more years experience in commercial software
-Experience working in a small, fast paced startup
-Understanding of OOD
-Use of XML is a must including having created a DTD (at least a small one)
-When thinking of an operating system, only Unix comes to mind
-Significant use of JDBC
-Experience with Servlets
-WAP experience is a plus
-XML Schema is a plus
